Layer 3 — Iterative Refinement Prompts
The first draft is raw material, not a final product. Use targeted follow-up prompts to tighten each element:
For the opening sentence:
Rewrite the opening sentence as if you are addressing someone who just lost 30 minutes searching for a solution to [pain]. Make them feel immediately understood. Keep it under 40 words.
For keyword placement:
Audit this description for keyword density. Flag any sentence where a keyword feels forced. Suggest a natural rewrite for each flagged sentence.
For tone consistency:
Read the full description and highlight any sentence that breaks the [confident / friendly] tone. Rewrite those sentences.
For the What’s New section (update notes):
Write three-sentence update notes for version [X.X]. Highlight [feature or fix]. Keep it conversational, not technical. Users should feel like a person is talking to them, not a changelog bot.
Run each refinement prompt separately — chaining too many instructions into one prompt degrades output quality.
Metadata Optimization Beyond the Description
The description is one piece. Apple’s search algorithm also weighs your title (30 chars), subtitle (30 chars), and keyword field (100 chars, comma-separated). AI helps here too.
For title and subtitle candidates, use this prompt:

Cross-reference suggestions against search volume data from tools like AppFollow, Sensor Tower, or MobileAction before finalizing. AI generates options fast; traffic data tells you which to use.
For the keyword field, prompt:
I have 100 characters for the App Store keyword field. Here are 20 keywords relevant to my app: [list].
